I plan the work so that it has a presence at a distance, but closer viewing reveals a lot of detail. The different surfaces of fabric and thread shift as you move by them.These pieces will last for generations with some minimal care. They are mounted on stretchers and ready to hang. Chain Stitch

I learned to do this from my elementary school art teacher in Grade 6 and never looked back. It is a sedimentary process of stitches accumulating, all by hand, but results in an almost iridescent, lively surface.
